Is my data backed up?

We assure safety of your data on several levels:

  • Quality: we use only enterprise class SAS Hard Disk Drives
  • Redundant hardware: every HDD is mirrored with another one (real-time synchronization)
  • Redundant server: each server is backed up on another server (synchronization takes place every 30 minutes)
  • Redundant data center: independent back-ups are stored in an additional Data Center (synchronization takes place once a day)

Is my data secure and confidential?

We use SoftLayer Data Center to host our machines and we employ professionals to make sure that your data is hosted in a secure and state-of-the-art environment. We also take pride in a strict security policy. All our Subversion plans are performed with the use of encrypted connections. Before being sent via our web interface all the passwords are additionally encrypted.

In case of higher plans we also use SSL encryption for our web interface.

What’s your uptime?

What’s your uptime? We have recorded a 99.7% server uptime over the last 6 months. We provide two public reports for our uptime monitoring:

  • Simple ping check to monitor response times
  • Service availability check

Can I export my data if I don’t want to use Springloops anymore?

Can I export my data if I don’t want to use Springloops anymore? Yes. You can export each project repository in Subversion dump file format and import it once again to Springloops or to any other Subversion server if you change your mind.

In order to export a project repository an administrator needs to go to the Project Options tab and click on the “Download repository dump” button on the right side of the page.

Can I import a repository dump to Springloops?

You can move your existing repository to Springloops retaining all the information it includes such as commits, history and revisions. Note: Users are matched by their usernames. User commits not found in Springloops account will be assigned to you.

The new project creation page offers two import options which are located at the bottom – via a link to a dump file or via an upload link.

To import a Subversion dump, go to the Dashboard, click the “Create new project” button, next provide the project name, URL or path to the dump file on your computer and click “Create”.

Is it possible to install Springloops on our own server?

Yes. The service is installed and configured by our staff. The updates are also performed by our staff. You need to provide us with a remote access (for example VPN) to a dedicated machine equipped with an operating system from the image that we provide.

The cost is $399 per month and there are no limitations as to the CPUs, space or users.

Do we provide phone support?

All our users (paying and not paying) have access to email support. We respond within a few hours or the next business day. All support requests are handled by staff that actually develops and manages the service.

What about refund policy?

We don’t provide refunds for services terminated before the end of the payment period. However we provide refunds for incorrectly calculated fees. We also provide discounts for winning new clients.

Do you have free trials?

Yes, we have. If you cancel your account before 30th day of using it, you won't be charged. This doesn't refer to upgrades. Even if you upgrade your free account, having upgraded it, you will be charged automatically.

What source change management solution do you use?

We have chosen Subversion. It's a proven solution which handles web projects in a great manner. It is also a big advantage that there are a lot of Subversion clients on various systems. It is easy to use Subversion - source change management - in Springloops.

What do I need to have to use Springloops?

To use our web application you need a modern browser - Internet Explorer 6 and above, Firefox or Safari. You browser needs to have Java Script turned on. To use our source control management you need a Subversion client. There are plenty of Subversion clients for Mac, Windows and Linux. Most of them are free and can be integrated even with your favorite IDE. You will also need Internet connection. And this is all. Please be advised that your Springloops account is fully functional only with a Subversion client.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

Yes, our service works on a month-to-month basis. You can cancel your account at any time, thus, you won't be charged for the next month. Please notice that we don't handle refunds for time not used before the end of the last billing cycle
